Public Notice: King County Fire District No. 44 Commissioner Vacancy

District #44 is accepting resumes for appointment to fill Fire Commissioner, Position #5.

Commissioner Fredrick Heistuman, who has been a Commissioner for the District since 2004, submitted his resignation to the District at the regular Board of Fire Commissioners meeting September 10, 2013. The resignation became effective immediately. Commissioner Heistuman thanked the members of the department and stated that he enjoyed his time with the District but will be moving out of the District therefore resigning his position. 

The Board of Fire Commissioners, Fire Chief and members of the Department wish to thank Mr. Heistuman for his service to the District and those the District protects. Commissioner Heistuman has been an instrumental leader and highly respected by all members of the Department. 

District #44 is accepting resumes for appointment to fill Fire Commissioner, Position #5. Applicants must be a registered voter and live within district boundaries. Application period closes, 5:00 PM, October 15, 2013. Deliver to KCFD44, 32316 148th Ave SE, Auburn, WA 98092 or email to info@kcfd44.org. 

Applicants should submit the following items:

  • One page resume
  • One page indicating the applicant’s reason for wanting to serve.
  • Proof of residence in the district and proof of current voter registration in King County.
This appointed position will terminate upon the certification of the November 2015 Fire Commissioner Election.
