Special Enumclaw City Council Meeting Friday, April 19

The council was to convene to discuss the White River Forest agreement between King County and Hancock Timber Resource Group.

Update: 8:41 p.m.: The Courier-Herald reports an initial meeting at the same date and time that was called by a majority of Council may have violated the Open Public Meetings Act and was cancelled.

However, Mayor Liz Reynolds did call a subsequent meeting as advertised to still occur at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, April 19, to discuss the White River Forest agreement.


The Enumclaw City Council is holidng a special meeting Friday, April 19 at City Hall beginning at 6:30 p.m. to discuss and review a letter to King County regarding recreational access to the White River Forest.

The letter comes after the county and Hancock Timber Resource Group with the intent of preservation.

As indicated by Councilman Dickson in the comments area of his letter Friday, the meeting tonight is open to the public but there is no public comment portion.
