Buses Running Behind following WRHS Lockdown

Police ended the lockdown at 2:30 p.m. after a parent initially thought they saw someone with a weapon on the road entering the campus.

BUCKLEY - School administrators at White River High School were given the all clear by police at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday following a lockdown of the campus that began when a parent saw what they thought appeared to be a weapon with someone who was on the road at the entrance of the school, district superintendent Tom Lockyer said.

Nearby, Mountain Meadow Elementary School and Collins Alternative Programs were also locked down as a precautionary measure given their distance from the high school.

However, all three schools have been cleared by police. "We've got our buses running a little bit late but we had the law enforcement folks on site to help us with the situation and they determined it was safe at that time. They ended the lockdown and started the buses out on normal routes."
