From commencement countdowns to scholarship awards to the last assembly of the year, the seniors at Enumclaw High School are making waves on the Internet and we wanted to pull together some highlights for you ahead of commencement tonight.
First, from about April on, the Enumclaw School District has been running a Countdown to Commencement in which many seniors have been asked to talk about what their favorite experiences were in high school. They have some great things to say which you can read at www.enumclaw.wednet.edu/calendar/NewsItem.aspx?id=444.
At the end of May, the students took it upon themselves to thank their teachers past and present for helping to shape who they are today (Watch the Patch clip.)
Then late last week, the Courier-Herald published this rather long list of not only scholarship winners but those businesses and organizations in the community who offered these scholarships to local students. According to Superintendent Mike Nelson in his weekly message to district staff, the local scholarships alone totaled more than $80,000! Read that list at www.courierherald.com/community/157966175.html.
This weekend, we were trollling YouTube for real estate listings (), when we came across this 7-minute clip by senior Conner Rawie covering a segment of the last assembly at EHS this year. It's a great teaser for some of the sentiments we're sure will be shared at graduation tonight. View it at youtu.be/4zXKKPD4TcU.
Again congratulations and best wishes to all the seniors at Enumclaw High School! Your futures are bright and if you ever feel compelled to share what you're working on, don't hesitate to let us know here at Enumclaw Patch.
Meanwhile, we're also excited that EHS Class of 2013 has made their presence known as well. Thanks for the Twitter follow, and we're excited to learn all that you're up to next year!
Happy summer, kids!
