EHS Swimmer Isabella Davenport Signs Letter of Intent for Alderson-Broaddus College

The senior earned four varsity letters with the swim and dive team and three with the water polo team.

Enumclaw High School swimmer and girls water polo player Isabella Davenport had a full day Tuesday, helping lead the girls water polo team to a 14-13 victory over Stadium with four goals of her own but before donning her suit and cap, signing her National Letter of Intent to swim at Alderson-Broaddus College in Philippi, West Virginia, in front of coaches, friends and family.

According to girls water polo coach Bob Averill, Davenport earned four varsity letters with the swim and dive team and three with the water polo team in her high school career. She also holds the Enumclaw High School swimming record in the 100-yard breaststroke at 1:09.89.

She was awarded the EHS Swim and Dive Team's 110% Award and Most Inspirational Swimmer Award in her senior season and earned the Coaches' Award as a sophomore. Over in water polo, Davenport earned All League Honorable Mention honors as a junior.

Meanwhile she competes year-round with the local swim club, Rainier Foothills Swim Team and works as a lifeguard at the Enumclaw Aquatic Center.

Davenport is also a Running Start student and will graduate in June with an AA degree from Green River Community College.

She plans to study nursing at Alderson-Broddus College.

She is the daughter of Kirk and Dana Davenport, of Enumclaw.
