Enumclaw Rotary Announces 2013 Scholarship Recipients

Five local high school students received scholarship from the Enumclaw Rotary Club.

Enumclaw Rotary is pleased to announce this year’s student scholarship recipients:

Juliet Bannerot, daughter of Joanne and Steven Bannerot of Enumclaw, will graduate this June from Enumclaw High School with a 4.0 GPA.

Active in all aspects of the high school drama department, Juliet has also participated in varsity soccer, German Club, and National Honor Society.

Additionally she has received numerous honors and awards for scholastic and athletic achievement. Juliet plans to attend the University of Denver this fall to major in pre-med. ($2,000 Scholarship)

Jennifer Hogan, daughter of Jim and Kim Hogan of Enumclaw, is a 4.0 student and has been active in Enumclaw High School leadership class, as yearbook editor and with the cross country and tennis teams.

Jennifer has dedicated herself to giving to the local community and beyond through her volunteer work with Relay for Life, Northwest Harvest and as a member of Sacred Heart’s Youth Group.

Jennifer plans to attend the University of Washington and major in nursing. ($1,000 Scholarship)

Anthony Chynoweth, son of Tony and Regina Chynoweth, attends Enumclaw High School. Anthony has taken several advanced placement courses while maintaining a 3.9 GPA.

He has been active in athletics, named first team all SPSL in basketball 2012 and 2013, receiving 3A all academic honors in basketball.  

He also serves on the Human Services Advisory Board for the City of Enumclaw. Anthony plans to attend Seattle Pacific University where he plans to major in education. ($1,000 Scholarship)

Madeline “Maddy” Burton, daughter of Mary and David Burton of Buckley, is an honor roll student at White River High School.  

A hard worker in and out of the classroom, Maddy has served as Native American Club President and Vice President and has volunteered with Western Electric and Good Samaritan Hospital.  

Accepted by Washington State University, Maddy’s future plans include a   registered nursing degree and work in the labor and delivery field. ($1,000 Scholarship)

Ryan Roulier, son of Tom and Stephanie Roulier of Carbonado, has a 3.9 GPA at White River High School while taking advanced placement courses.  

Active in FBLA and DECA, Ryan has been named a Kiwanis Student of the Month and was awarded an Outstanding Student Star Award. He has traveled extensively to regional, national and international conferences with DECA.

Ryan plans to major in business and finance at the University of Washington, with the goal of becoming a CPA. ($1,000 Scholarship)
