Enumclaw Rotary Names April 2013 Students of the Month

Sierra Carlson and Carl Klein were recognized for their achievements during the April 18 meeting of the Enumclaw Rotary Club.

The Enumclaw Rotary Club recognized the following students as Students of The Month at their April 18, 2013 meeting.

Sierra Carlson, daughter of Heidi and Kurt Carlson of Enumclaw, was the recipient from Enumclaw High School. A strong academic student and National Honor Society member, Sierra has a 4.0 GPA while taking numerous advanced placement coursework. She has participated in leadership class, choir, volleyball, swim & dive and this year as captain of the track and field team and sports medicine activities. Sierra plans to attend Whitworth University this fall to study pre-medicine with the hopes of becoming surgeon.

Carl Klein, son of Dan and Lisa Klein, was the recipient from White River High School. A strong academic student and National Honor Society member, Carl has a 4.0 GPA while taking numerous advanced placement courses. Carl has participated in wrestling, football and cross country and also been active serving his community through coaching and volunteering with the youth wrestling program and White River Education Foundation. Carl plans to attend the University of Washington this fall to study mechanical engineering.
