Enumclaw vs. White River Rivalry in USA Today High School Sports Contest

The cash reward for the single grand prize winning rivalry in the nation is $10,000 to be split evenly between both schools for their athletic departments.

USA Today's High School Sports department has launched a nationwide contest that puts the spotlight on the Enumclaw vs. White River school rivalry as one of the top three high school rivalries in the state of Washington.

The contest involves the public selecting their favorite rivalries out of three match-ups selected for each state. The Enumclaw vs. White River rivalry goes up against Aberdeen vs. Hoquiam and Montesano vs. Elma in Washington state.

Voters can choose their favorites online atcontest.usatodayhss.com from now until 8 a.m. PST on Monday, Dec. 3.

The 51 winners of each state (plus Washington, D.C.) move onto a regional competition that divides states into four regions. Regional voting occures from 8 a.m. PST Wednesday, Dec. 5 through 8 a.m. PST on Wednesday, Dec. 12.

The four winners in each region then move on to the national competition that is open to voting from 8 a.m. PST Thursday, Dec. 13 through 8 a.m. PST on Wednesday, Dec. 19.

The grand prize winner in the nation wins $10,000 to be divided equally between the athletic programs of the two schools. USA Today will also report live on that game in 2013 - they also get a trophy that the winning school gets to keep.
