Red Cross Presentation on Emergency Preparedness

The essence of Neighbors Night Out planned for Aug. 7 is getting to know your neighbor, enhancing neighborhood spirit and growing a healthy community.  Being able to care for yourself and family as well as help your neighbor in a time of crisis fits within these goals.

As part of this effort, the Red Cross will be making a presentation on emergency preparedness at the Enumclaw Community Center (Senior Center), 1350 Cole ST, today, July 24th, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM.  All are welcome to attend, and there is no cost.  Whether or not one plans to have a neighborhood gathering on August 7th for NNO, this presentation should be of great use to everyone living on the plateau.

From yearly winter storms knocking out power to the potential of earthquakes or other disasters, Enumclaw sits like an island between two rivers and the three bridges that provide access to our area.  We need to be prepared. Please come hear from the Red Cross and receive their materials on emergency preparedness.
