THIS CAMPAIGN:
What is the primary reason you are running for this office?
My family has a long history in the Enumclaw School District, stretching from 1935 to the present. My mother-in-law, wife, children and now grandchildren have attended and are now attending Enumclaw schools. I want to give back to the district by being the voice of the people of Black Diamond and Enumclaw by serving on the board. I will listen to the concerns of the parents and students in our school district and bring them to the board. It will be an honor to represent you on the board, and I would appreciate your vote.
What will be your top three priorities if you get elected and why?
1. Gain a more complete understanding of the goals of the district. I feel I can't represent the students and their parents without understanding the goals that have been set and how we plan to achieve them.
2. Work with the State Board of Education to improve relationships and support from our state counterparts. We need to make our State Board members more aware of our needs on the district level.
3. Work with parents, students and board members to give our children the greatest opportunity to learn and grow into intelligent and responsible adults within our society.
What sets you apart from the other candidates and/or previous office holders?
We are all unique individuals with unique skills and personalities. I will bring a knowledge of the skills needed to achieve in today's world garnered through almost 50 years experience in providing a solid living for my family.
How much money do you expect your campaign to spend on this election?
Unknown, but only as much as is prudent
