THIS CAMPAIGN:

What is the primary reason you are running for this office?

My primary reason for running for Enumclaw School Board Pos. 4 is to continue my involvement in my children’s education. Since my oldest son was 4, I became involved with the Enumclaw School District by joining the Black Diamond Elementary PTA, becoming a classroom parent volunteer, and attending school board meetings. To me, a child’s education is most important, I would like to ensure that every child in the Enumclaw School District receives the best education possible with the best resources available.

What will be your top three priorities if you get elected and why?

1. My first priority would be maintaining a balanced budget. In these difficult economic times, we need to make sure we are being responsible with our spending.

2. I would like to ensure that all students have the best learning environment possible.  This includes meals, materials & resources, technology,  fitness, exposure to arts, and other factors that create a quality learning environment

3. Improving communication with families of the Enumclaw School District. I would like build upon the district’s current methods of communication to families so they can have a better understanding of what is happening in our district as a whole.

What sets you apart from the other candidates and/or previous office holders?

What sets me apart from other candidates is my passion, dedication and commitment to the students, staff and community members of our school district. I have displayed this by my involvement in many different groups in our community, such as Black Diamond PTA, Cub Scouts, Enumclaw Schools Foundation, Black Diamond Elementary Arts Ed Committee and becoming a  parent volunteer.    I plan to expand this passion, dedication and commitment to the students, staff and community of the Enumclaw School District with a position on the school board.

How much money do you expect your campaign to spend on this election?

$300 or less
