Rotary Names April Students of the Month

Chris Beinke of Enumclaw High School and Chloe Sharp of White River High School were recognized for their achievements this month by the Enumclaw Rotary Club.

Diane Anderson of the Enumclaw Rotary Club reports the following students were chosen and recognized as April 2012 Students of the Month during the club's April 19 meeting:

Chris Beinke, son of Lehann and Paul Nelson of Enumclaw, was the recipient from Enumclaw High School. A strong academic student, Chris has a 3.5 high school GPA. As a trumpet player, Chris participates in Jazz Band, Wind Ensemble, and as a member of the Marching/Pep Band. Outside of school he has participated in numerous community honor bands, is a member of the Royal Rangers and is involved in colonial and wilderness reenactments. Chris is planning on attending the University of Wyoming this fall working towards a degree in music.

Chloe Sharp, daughter of Kim and Robert Sharp of Buckley, was the recipient from White River High School. A strong academic student who has taken multiple advanced placement classes, Chloe has a 4.0 cumulative GPA and is ranked number one in her class.  Athletically she has participated on the varsity soccer team and also serves as a referee for local youth teams. She also serves as the schools Senior Class President and also as President of the Interact Club. Chloe plans on attending Washington State University this fall studying biology with plans to become a physical therapist.
