Rotary Names December Students of the Month

John Corley of Enumclaw High School and Ryan Bird of White River High School were honored this month by the Enumclaw Rotary Club.

The Enumclaw Rotary Club recognized the following students as Students of The Month at their December 13, 2012 meeting.

John Corley, son of Tim and Tammie Corley of Enumclaw, was the recipient from Enumclaw High School.  A strong academic student that has taken 7 advanced placement classes, John has a 3.95 cumulative GPA.  In high school John has participated on the varsity football, soccer and diving teams in addition to Honor Society and German Club.   John plans to attend a four-year university next fall with plans on pursuing a degree in aeronautical engineering.

Ryan Bird, son of Kris and Ian Bird of Buckley, was the recipient from White River High School.  Currently ranked seventh in his class, Ryan has a 3.95 cumulative GPA.   While in high school he has participated in Honor Society, Connections Club and is a scholar athlete on the varsity baseball team.   Ryan plans on attending community college to play baseball and then to transfer to a four year university to become an anesthesiologist.
