Viewfinder: EHS Crowns Homecoming King and Queen 2011

It was standing room only in the commons area of Enumclaw High School Wednesday night as the 2011 Homecoming King and Queen were crowned.

The year 1994 was magical for this year's senior royal court -- after all, it was their birth year.

Fast forward to 2011 and these 10 young men and women are now embarking on their senior year of high school. Mature, poised and confident in their roles this year as leaders in school, they were introduced to the Enumclaw community Wednesday night during Enumclaw High School's Coronation 2011.

In the end, a panel of three judges chose Chase Dolliver and Michelle McKinlay as this year's Homecoming King and Queen.

  • 10th grade: Chase Olson and Olivia Bannerot
  • 11th grade: Perry Rockwood and Katie Holland

The attendees were then treated to an address from the 1986 Homecoming King and Queen Eric Schafer and Tandy Platt. The King couldn't make it, the Queen told the crowd, as this pair are now married, and Mrs. Schafer is now a teacher at Enumclaw High School.

Come out and meet the new King and Queen during this Friday's Homecoming parade on Cole Street downtown. The parade begins at 4:30 p.m. Then, head over to Enumclaw Stadium (Pete's Pool) and support the Hornets as they take on visiting team Auburn Mountainview at 7 p.m.
