Update: EHS Sports Cancellations, Postponements and Weather Notices March 13

Update 2:15 p.m.: Enumclaw High School reports the following cancellations/postponements of games that were scheduled for today:

Varsity Girls Water Polo against Bonney Lake is Cancelled; Practice still on

Varsity and JV Baseball against Olympia cancelled; Varsity practice on in locker room; JV and C team practice in gym

Varsity and JV Fastpitch against Sammamish postponed; no practice

C-team Fastpitch against Muckleshoot postponed; no practice

Varsity and JV Boys Soccer against Foster still on  

Both C-Team Soccer practices cancelled

Both White River and Enumclaw school districts have limited bus transportation today, March 13, Enumclaw schools were also operating one hour late.

At Enumclaw High School, if students were not taking HPSE, school starting time was 11:30 a.m.

Varsity and JV baseball against Olympia High School are also cancelled for today.

According to a special statement by the National Weather Service Tuesday morning, the snow level is within a few hundred feet of sea level this morning with temperatures hovering betwen 32 and 35 degrees.

It was snowing lightly at about 8:30 a.m. and isolated thunderstorms are also possible today producing small hail.

The temperature will climb into the lower to mid 40s today with
the snow level around 1000 feet. Some areas in the east Puget Sound lowlands at about 700 feet received several inches overnight. Drivers should exercise caution and allow extra travel time, the statement said.
