White River School District Announces Board Vacancy

Applications must be submitted by August 31, 2013.

The White River School District Board of Directors is now accepting applications to fill the vacancy left by longtime school board member Susan McGuire, who passed away June 22. Applications must be submitted no later than August 31, 2013, at 4:30 p.m. to Denise Vogel, Chair of the Board, at our White River School District administration.

Our White River community is deeply saddened by the passing of Susan McGuire, a long time active volunteer and school district advocate.  Susan had served on the Board of Directors since 1996.

The Board of Directors is now tasked with appointing a person to complete two years of her current four-year term on the board. They have announced a timeline and application process and are encouraging community members to consider.

The Board of Directors has announced a timeline and application process for appointing a person to District Area Position #2. The application period will begin August 1st and conclude on August 30th. Review of applications and candidate interviews will be conducted by our four remaining board members on September 5th. It is the hope of the Board of Directors to select a candidate and have that candidate take the oath of office at the September 11th  board meeting.
