EHS Boys Tennis: Hornets fall to Peninsula 3-2

Enumclaw Boys Tennis Post-match recap against Peninsula from Wednesday September 12, 2012.

The Enumclaw Boys Tennis team took on fellow SPSL 3A rival Peninsula on a crisp, clear Wednesday afternoon at Enumclaw High School, and dropped a tough heartbreaker of a match to the Seahawks 3-2. The Hornets took both singles matches as Michael Eckblad defeated Kevin Ma in number one singles in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3. Enumclaw finished the sweep of the singles matches with Duncan Ranft defeating Joe Stewart ,6-0, 6-1. Peninsula would come back in the doubles matches and take all three matches in straight sets to secure the victory. Starting in #1 Doubles, Hayden Skidmore, and Mitchell Lewis knocked off the Hornet doubles team of Mitchell Johnson and Michael Williams 6-0, 6-0. In #2 doubles, Matt Myers and James Silberman outlasted William and Johnny Longley 6-1,6-3. Finally, in #3 Doubles, Dominick Sookbirgsingh and Jake Sorenson beat Matt Leavens and Austin Schuyer of Enumclaw, 6-2,6-3.

I agree the previous version was much better and I am not adjusting well to the new version at all.Read More Its definitely not a better layout. Also have had many problems with the events calendar which may not even be fixable.

Always looking for a local nature trail, I really enjoy reading Mary Janosik's well written blog. InRead More fact, almost all the dedicated bloggers posting on the Enumclaw PATCH have something worthwhile reading. But it is not an easy job for most of us, taking some time to research and write, without any compensation. Our only reward is knowing we are being read and appreciated and the only way we know that is when you comment. In my opinion, most of the PATCH blogs are a community service, informing residents about our community and issues concerning you, our readers.
