Astroturf Arrives, Being Installed at Enumclaw Field
Stadium's $900,000 remodel begins to take shape as community awaits Sept. 2 opening game.
Workers putting down carpet may not seem like a big deal in most settings -- except when it's the astroturf on the $900,000 remodeled stadium in Enumclaw.
Local contractor Carl Sanders' crew has gotten the field ready, and now that the bright green turf has arrived and is being installed the dynamic change in the stadium really is starting to take shape.
The field contrasts sharply with the bright red end zones. The new scoreboard is up. Some scenic rockery has been installed. New restrooms are being built. And even parts of the old grandstands have been painted.

All of this is in preparation for the Sept. 2 home owner of the Enumclaw High School Hornets football team against Yelm.
