Austin Seferian-Jenkins Pleads Guilty To DUI - How Should UW React?

The Husky tight end will spend a day in jail following his plea in Seattle Municipal Court on Monday.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins, one of the best tight ends in college football, pleaded guilty Monday to a DUI charge in Seattle.

The Gig Harbor High product will spend a day in jail. He originally entered a not guilty plea after his arrest in March - prompted by an accident in Seattle's Ravenna area.

The Seattle Times reported that Seferian-Jenkins released a statement through his attorney:
"I hope that everyone can learn from my mistake so that they do not commit the same lapse in judgment that I committed this past March. I was always raised to be a man of my work, and I promised everyone shortly after this incident that I would accept responsibility for my actions. Today, I kept my word and will accept punishment because I deserve it."

Now, the question University of Washington fans will be asking is how will his guilty plea affect his eligibility for the 2013 football season. Washington Coach Steve Sarkisian has yet to decide whether the team will add any additional punishment.

So we ask you, Patch users, do you think Seferian-Jenkins's DUI should affect his eligibility on the field? Should he be suspended for a game? More? Less? Tell us in the comments below.
