Auburn Routs Enumclaw in Boys Hoops
Hornets star D.J. Hitch scored 12 points at the Comcast Showcase but Henderson, Trojans prove too much.
Kevin Henderson scored 23 points and No. 7 Auburn High School ripped Enumclaw 74-45 at Showare Center in Kent on Monday.
D.J. Hitch and Ryan Chenoweth kept the Hornets (3-11, 1-3 South Puget Sound League 3A) close early -- they trailed 39-29 at halftime -- but the Trojans (10-2, 7-2 SPSL 4A) put the game away with a 16-1 run in the third quarter that stretched their lead to 55-30. Henderson, who has commited to the Univerity of Montana, and Auburn's full-court defense kept Enumclaw at bay.
Enumclaw plays at Bonney Lake in SPSL 3A league action tonight at 7 p.m.
