We noted an update on the Crystal Mountain Facebook page this afternoon that confirms the resort will be opening Friday, November 18.
Here's the latest from the official website, posted at 4:30 p.m. Thursday:
We picked up another 6" today and it's still snowing! TOMORROW (NOV. 18) IS OPENING DAY! The Gondola & Green Valley chair will run at 9am (last gondola download at 4pm). Skiing is limited to Green Valley (intermediate & advanced terrain). We don't recommend bringing new equipment as early season coverage does exist and rental & demo equipment will not be available tomorrow. Chinook Express, Discovery & Forest Queen will open on Saturday for a total of 5 lifts running this weekend.
So ... for those itching to slice through the fresh powder, who's suddenly developed a nasty *cough, cough* and can't possibly go to work Friday?
