Enumclaw's girls softball team won its first game, but lost its next two to get knocked out of the state playoffs over the weekend.
The Hornets beat Shadle Park of Spokane 5-1 in their opening game of the 3A fastpitch tournament at the Regional Athletic Complex in Lacey.
In the winner's bracket, EHS took on Everett in a quarterfinal contest. The Seagulls eventually finished second at state. In this game the Hornets were outpowered by the team up north 9-2.

Enumclaw then took on Bainbridge in a loser out game. The Hornets led much of the game before losing 6-4.
