King County Fair Starts Today

This year marks the 150th anniversary of the fair, which runs from Thursday, August 2 through Sunday, August 5 at the Enumclaw Expo Center.

From Mutton Bustin' to Battle of the Bands, the Enumclaw Pro Rodeo to a Kids Pedal Tractor Pull, there is all kinds of fun to be had at the starting today, August 2 through Sunday, August 5 at the Expo Center.

Then there's the antics of two-time Guinness World Record holder Alex Zerbe with his brand of family-friendly action comedy, ventriloquist Jerry Breeden with more comedy, musical celebrity impersonations and magical illusions with collection of friends, plus an assortment of rides and 4-H livestock shows and exhibits.

Don't forget the live music too, including tributes to Stevie Ray Vaughan, Kiss, Bad Company, Bob Seger and Neil Diamond!

Exhibits include home and fine arts and crafts, agriculture and floral.

The fair opens today at 12 p.m. and runs until 10 p.m. Musical highlights Thursday include Battle of the Bands starting at 6 p.m. ($300 cash prize for 1st place) and A Version of The Wheels at 7 p.m. on the main stage.

Hours through the weekend:

  • Friday, August 3: 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Saturday, August 4: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Sunday, August 5: 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Admission is $5 for everyone; kids 4 and under are free. Ride tickets and wristbands are $21 everyday.
