New Closure Posted for Comet Falls Trail

Mount Rainier National Park on Wednesday posted a new hiking advisory regarding the Comet Falls Trail: it is closed from about a quarter mile below Comet Falls to the River crossing above Comet Falls in Van Trump Park.

The Comet Falls trailhead is located four miles east of Longmire on the road toward Paradise. From Enumclaw, it would have been accessible by taking eastbound State Route 410 into the park, turning off onto State Route 123 and then taking Stevens Canyon Road to Paradise before heading down Paradise Road East toward Longmire.
