What a wonderful thing to happen to a wonderful local business in Enumclaw! Congratulations! EveryRead More week Young's Enumclaw Flowers and Gifts brings the most beautiful and original bouquet of flowers to sit on Mutual of Enumclaw's reception desk. They are always a work of art. Many years ago I worked a booth for a business (that is no longer here) at the Northwest Flower and Garden Show. It is a HUGE event with hundreds of businesses competing and showing their product. I am indeed very pleased and proud that Mary and her Father, John... got to show off their tremendous gift of artful creativity though beautiful flowers and design. Bravo!!!! Enumclaw is brimming with gifted businesses and people.

Thanks, Caitlin. Pretty in Pink still works and nobody's going to turn it down, but I LOVE yourRead More GREEN suggestions and the Local tie-ins. Also, how about tickets to a play, film, music event, festival. Maybe the LeMay Car Museum. Almost free and very green--an excursion and walk on one of the local trails Mary Janosik is writing about--with a little picnic or hot thermos of soup. A few packets of flower seeds for spring planting (pink and red?). A page of Love stamps from the post office. Dinner out still sounds good to the cook half of THIS relationship (and need not be an expensive one just to leave the kitchen). Maybe gift certificates to local restaurants, take-out pies (the Goddess has dinner ones now), ice cream shops..... The more I ponder this, the more I think that's what HE'd like this year. Yes, I'm sure he would. I'm off to town....
