Daniel Raksakun wrote in an assignment that his dream was to get out of his wheelchair and drive a 1965 Mustang convertible. With some modifications, the Enumclaw community granted that wish Monday. (Credit: Bev Shorter)

What an opportunity this is for Enumclaw kids! Cedar River is an amazing school, and here is anRead More opportunity to experience it for just a materials fee ($25 for a rocket.) I wish I were 10-12 years old, if only to be able to attend this hands-on technology series.

It was a great night! The light saber fundraiser was fun and the food was amazing (thank you ScottRead More for that). My husband enjoyed bidding on some of the items for such a great cause. Our daughter didn't go to school in the Enumclaw School District, but if she had, I would have loved the chance for her to have full day Kindergarten.

I just added a photo to your photo gallery - here's a description: A Blue Light Tribute to theRead More Enumclaw Rotary Foundation Blue lights broke the darkness of the Field House on Saturday night in tribute to the Enumclaw Rotary Foundation. The event was the Enumclaw Schools Foundation’s 5th Annual Full Day Kindergarten Dinner/Auction held April 13 and the blue lights came from light sabers (think Darth Vader). The reason for the tribute was to accent our gratitude for the amazing Enumclaw Rotarians who have made it possible for 23 five-year-olds to attend full day kindergarten over five school years. The Enumclaw Rotary Foundation has provided full scholarships at $2,500 each, for students who are in need of the enriched curriculum and adjustment that takes place in a full day kindergarten classroom. The Enumclaw Schools Foundation extends a heartfelt thank you to the Enumclaw Rotary Foundation for their extraordinary gift to the children in our school district! Thank you!
