The Stevenson/Yerxa Building, across the street from the City Administration building and with the Enumclaw Police…More Department on the adjacent street, houses the city's Public Works and Community Development offices. </p> <p>Both the administration and engineering offices for Public Works are located here. The Community Development offices, encompassing city planning, building, and business, handle services including:</p> <ul> <li>Building permits</li> <li>Land use questions and issues</li> <li>Business licenses</li> <li>Sign permits</li> </ul>

This office serves the Snoqualmie Ranger District within the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, covering the west…More side of the Cascades between the Canadian border and Mount Rainier National Park. </p> <p>The Forest Service does not manage Mount Rainier National Park, though recreational opportunities along State Route 410 between Enumclaw and the park's boundaries are overseen by the Service. </p> <p>The office is staffed by rangers and other personnel who can help issue a variety of recreational permits, answer questions about current forest road, trail and weather conditions, as well as provide detailed maps for recreational use. Some souvenirs and other collectibles including books and postcards are also for sale. </p> <p>An impressive cross-section of a now fallen tree is on display towards the rear of the building, with rings highlighted by metal markers illustrating the age of the tree.</p>
