Arts Alive!

The mission of Arts Alive! is to promote visual and performing arts in the local community, as well as support localMore artists. To date, it has raised as much as $300,000 in grants and scholarships for seniors at White River and Enumclaw high schools who are looking into careers or further training in the arts. Arts Alive! also collaborates with local <a href="http://www.stagedoorprod.org/">Stage Door Productions</a> and <a href="http://www.4culture.org/">4 Culture</a> in King County to promote community arts programs.</p> <p>Arts Alive! leases this location from the city of Enumclaw to showcase the work of local artists and to give anyone interested in learning a craft the chance to take a class. Classes are taught by local artists and typically cost $10 per session. Special workshops are scheduled for Saturdays and in the past have included topics such as bookbinding and jewelry making.</p> <p>Poetry Jam is the second Friday of the month at 7pm.</p> <p></p>

Rainier Hills Young LIfe

Rainier Hills Young Life is a non-denominational Christian outreach group that works with teens. Young Life seeks toMore earn the right to be heard in teens' lives through building bridges of friendship with its adult community mentors.</p> <p>The Rainier Hills Young Life group serves about 400 teens locally and regionally through the work and mentorship of about 40 adult volunteers. The group covers the Plateau area, including Black Diamond, Greenwater, parts of Bonney Lake and all middle and high schools in the Enumclaw and White River school districts.</p> <p>Highlights of Young Life's outreach efforts include its popular summer camps with locations in Eastern Oregon and in British Columbia. Teens are able to help cover expenses through scholarship and ample fundraising opportunities.</p> <p>Young Life also has specific ministries to serve younger, middle-school-aged children as well as teen moms.</p> <p>There are 56 Young Life organizations throughout Washington state. The Rainier Hills chapter of Young Life just celebrated its 30th anniversary serving the Plateau area. Young Life was founded in 1941 and is now found across the U.S. and in more than 70 countries worldwide.</p>

They must live within the district boundaries in which they serve. The board meets one Monday each month. All board meetings take place at 6:30pm at the district office, 2929 McDougall Ave., Enumclaw, WA, unless <a href="http://www.enumclaw.wednet.edu/board/meetingdates.aspx">otherwise noted</a>. Additional board workshops are also noted on the meeting calendar. By default, no actions are taken at workshops unless indicated on the calendar.</p> <p>Offices of the Superintendent, for curriculum, assessment, staff development, student support services, as well as technology, human resources and the business office are located at the School District Office.</p> <p>The <a href="http://www.enumclawschoolsfoundation.org/index.cfm">Enumclaw Schools Foundation (ESF)</a> was founded in 2004 by community advocates and district staff to enhance and support academic and extracurricular programs in the Enumclaw School District. </p>
