Enumclaw Youth and Family Services

Enumclaw Youth and Family Services (EYFS), a private, non-profit resource agency, serves residents in Enumclaw andMore the Plateau area. A branch of Auburn Youth Resources, EYFS provides case management, substance abuse assistance, youth and family counseling, transitional housing help, and maintains a youth center.</p> <p>The youth center, which is open Mondays through Fridays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on school days, and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays when school is not in session, is a casual hangout and features a television, computers with Internet, arcade games, and free popcorn.</p> <p>EYFS also maintains a separate counseling office at 1029 Cole St. Access is by appointment only.</p> <p>EYFS recently joined with Village Tutors to provide tutoring assistance for students in the Enumclaw School District. </p> <p>EYFS is funded by multiple sources including the city of Enumclaw, United Way, and various grants and donations.</p>

Enumclaw School District

The Enumclaw School District #216 serves both Enumclaw and Black Diamond as well as several unincorporatedMore communities. They must live within the district boundaries in which they serve. The board meets one Monday each month. All board meetings take place at 6:30pm at the district office, 2929 McDougall Ave., Enumclaw, WA, unless <a href="http://www.enumclaw.wednet.edu/board/meetingdates.aspx">otherwise noted</a>. Additional board workshops are also noted on the meeting calendar. By default, no actions are taken at workshops unless indicated on the calendar.</p> <p>Offices of the Superintendent, for curriculum, assessment, staff development, student support services, as well as technology, human resources and the business office are located at the School District Office.</p> <p>The <a href="http://www.enumclawschoolsfoundation.org/index.cfm">Enumclaw Schools Foundation (ESF)</a> was founded in 2004 by community advocates and district staff to enhance and support academic and extracurricular programs in the Enumclaw School District. </p>

Byron Kibler Elementary School

Located across the street from the Enumclaw School District Annex in a quiet suburban section of Enumclaw, Byron KiblerMore Elementary School is home to the Kibler Bears. The school serves students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Teachers, along with grade level teams or specialist teams, benefit from a set block of time each Friday in which they can meet and collaborate on a variety of learning objectives, assessments, support and goal-setting. The school organizes a variety of events focused on learning and fun to bring the community together, including "Meet Your Teacher" afternoon, family math and literacy nights, assemblies and special spirit days. The Kibler PTA is also an active component in supporting the school community. 
Enumclaw Aquatic Center
420 Semanski St, Enumclaw, WA 98022

Located within a complex between Enumclaw High School and the Enumclaw School District Office is the Enumclaw AquaticMore Center, featuring a 25-yard-length pool with a shallow end and diving boards on the opposite end. The pool is used by the Enumclaw High School swim and water polo teams and the Rainier Foothills Swim Team for practice and open for scheduled public swim events as well.</p> <p>Other activities offered at the Aquatic Center include swim lessons, water exercise, lap swim, and special events like the monthly Float-in Movie Night. </p> <p>Visitors can purchase single-entry passes or special Splash Membership Passes. The pool is also available for weekend rental for parties, youth groups, and more. </p> <p>Facilities include men's and women's locker rooms and showers. Some swimming merchandise including goggles are available for sale.</p>

Black Diamond Elementary School

Black Diamond Elementary School, nestled between the fire department and the post office, serves grades K-5 in theMore Enumclaw School District. In addition to the main student body, Black Diamond also supports students in its ECEAP (Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program) Program. 
Sunrise Elementary School

Sunrise Elementary School is located on the opposite side of Thomas J. Poe Sr. Field from Southwood Elementary andMore serves students in grades K-5. Opened in 1992, Sunrise is the newest elementary school in Enumclaw School District. </p> <p>Supported by the Sunrise Eagles PTA, which was founded in the 2005-06 school year and has more than 100 members, Sunrise benefits from this community partnership in many forms including family nights, field trips, special assemblies and events as well as new technology.</p>

Thunder Mountain Middle School

Located at the top of a long driveway off of 264th Avenue SE, Thunder Mountain Middle School serves students inMore grades 6-8. As the newest Enumclaw School District school which opened in 2000, Thunder Mountain receives students from Black Diamond, Westwood, and Kibler elementary schools as well as those who live north of 432nd Street. </p> <p>Thunder Mountain offers a variety of athletic and after school programs in an effort to encourage students to connect with the school community outside of main core academics. Parents, likewise, are encouraged to participate in the PTSO to stay involved with the school.</p>
